About the Event
In this unique collaboration between The Glass Duck and Mission Astro explore planets in our galaxy and planets around other planets. Starting with a talk from astrophysicist Dr Sarah Crick discovering that there are many wonderful worlds out there waiting to be discovered. Then inspired by Dr Sarah Crick's talk design and make your own stunning planet fused glass hanging/ suncatcher. Using a 1 clear piece of fusing glass as a base adding glass frits ( tumbled glass sprinkles) stringers ( like glass spaghetti ) you will be shown how to design and assemble your piece of fused glass. There will be plenty of examples to help you with your designs
All materials and kiln firing is included
Car parking onsite
Squash or water is provided for the children .Tea and coffee if you are an adult taking part in the workshop.
There is no glass cutting involved in this…
