A new unique creative and educational workshop collaboration combining glass fusing from The Glass Duck and astronomical knowledge from the astrophysicist Dr Sarah Crick from Mission Astro.

About the Event
In this unique collaboration between The Glass Duck and Mission Astro explore gargantuan galaxies. Starting with a talk from astrophysicist Dr Sarah Crick discovering the huge swirling structures that house millions of gas clouds, black holes and star systems. Then design and make your own stunning galaxy coaster using a 1 clear and 1 blue piece of fusing glass adding glass frits ( tumbled glass sprinkles) a gold star and gold flakes you will be shown how to design and assemble your piece of fused glass. The fired piece will be made into a coaster. There will be plenty of examples to help you with your designs
All materials and kiln firing is included
Car parking onsite
Squash or water is provided for the children .Tea and coffee if you are an adult taking part in the workshop.
There is no glass cutting involved in this workshop.
