6 Week Beginners Evening Course 8th June - 13th July

If you’re looking for a new hobby, or would love to see a bit more about the possibilities of glass fusing, this is the course for you! Over the course of 6 weeks, I will introduce a series of techniques that you can use either by themselves or combine together to have a great grounding of how to make your very own fused glass pieces. Each week we will make pieces using an individual technique and learn how different temperatures in the kiln can affect the outcome. We will then in the last 2 weeks, make a final piece that can uses a combination of all the techniques that you have learnt.

Techniques we will learn include glass cutting, Full and tac fusing, slumping,  using metals in the glass and  jewellery making,  After each session I will fire your pieces, ready for the following weeks class – it’s always exciting to come each week to your masterpiece from the week before.

The 6 weeks cost £300 for tuition,  all basic materials (plenty to complete the course, but there are some upgrade options) tea, coffee and biscuits.

This course is ideal for complete beginners or those who have previously attended another class but would like to learn more.

What can I do after the course? With your new found skills, you can move onto learning further techniques in the intermediate course, you will also have enough of an understanding to be able to go it alone, however this can be quite a big step investing in your own equipment, so why not join glass club to realise your own projects with likeminded others and the use of my equipment.
